Description

These are the Mockups for a RFC of the File(Admin) Module

The FAL Team (http://forge.typo3.org/projects/typo3v4-fileabstractionlayer) is working on this.

It's already a good improvement compare to what we have.

Main Issue for me: The UI is to separated in my eyes.
It needs to have a clear relation between the segments.

- How to manage "multiple" selections
- How to handle "non visual" filetypes
- How to simplify the first visual impression
- How will this be in v5 (We shouldn't reinvent the wheel there again)
- How do we execute Actions .. is there always a Icon nessesarry (eg. Rename)
- Which Icons are really necessary compare to >> e.g. OsX Finder / Ms Explorer

.. more discussion is needed before we could approve it.

Hi,

I also think the UI elements are too separated. Does the table "jump" to a narrower width when the info panel appears? I think we have to develop an idea where the information panel is more clearly related to the selected file/picture.

I think I sounded a bit hard. It's great work that was done by the filelist-team! A big thanks to everybody who is contributing new ideas for the filelist-tool!
