Description

This may be an duplicate of 0000752.
The problem still occurs in TYPO3 version 4.1.1.

Having multiple domains with different roots in a single installation, the page preview only works with the domain used for logging into the backend.

Patch from 0000752 is applied in TYPO3 version 4.1.1 but seems not to work properly.

to make it clear:

if your preview works on example.com and you change to example.de the preview cannot work anymore.

Reason: there is a cookie set, which determines if you are allowed to see the preview - that cookie should not been send to an different domain. Your browser should not send cookie of domain example.com to example.de for security reasons!

So this is not an bug - this issue could be closed? Did i understand you right?

martin

IMHO this is a nice feature-request and sth. I'd like very much!
When you work with a multi-domain installation and want to preview the FE or - in times of modern FE-editing - you want to directly edit the previewed page, it would be cool to have a kind of single-signon.

E.g. when showing a page from the Backend, it has to be checked, whether there's a login on the domain used in FE and when necessary, a login session has to be made and cookies have to be set from this domain.
