Description

When I want to open the website I just edited in the backend, I have to manually open it or change the current browser´s URL.

It would be nice to have a link in the backend that opens the website in the current or a new tab/window.

(issue imported from #M15434)

you don't have to insert anything . .. this works perfectly if you press the icon of the site in the pagetree and press "view" . . . if you are not redirected to the correct page, then you have setup something properly wrong !!

ok, that´s nice. still, IMHO it would be useful to have a single-click solution.

with one click it's done within the content dialog on the top . . .there, where you can save your item you can also choose "save and return" , "save and view" , etc. . . .

but this is so trivial . . . . and must bee toooo easy !

Closed, no change required.

There is a view button, whenever you view or edit a page or a content element. It is just one click and the page in the frontend opens just as you wish.

@d.ros: yeah, you like it the hard way, I know

even if you are editing a page, it´s two clicks, not one. and if you´re not, it´s a minimum of three. but why make it easier even if that could be easily done..

@ Larsen: I did not close this issue just for fun.

This is a configuration issue and no bug. Therefore it does not belong here.
Set the option
options.saveDocView = 1
in the Group or User TSconfig and the button is there as you wish.

Reading the docs would have helped you even faster and would have avoided extra work for others.

Shall I leave this bug report open or may I finally close it now?
