Description

It would be great if multiple attachments could be allowed. -> TS Config value which adds a certain amount of upload fields to the post form...

Multiple attachments are already implemented.
Go to the mm_forum module, select "Install" in the drop down list on the right, choose "Forum" and scroll down. Now you can adjust the number of files which can be uploaded...

Your second request seems not to be integrated yet, or the manual is not up-to-date:
Look for "plugin.tx_mmforum_pi1.attachments" at the manual: http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/extension-manuals/mm_forum/0.1.7/view/1/5/#id4015826
