Description

I am not able to create a new template in the mm_forum administration area. If I "create new", then it acts like it created something, but the drop-down template selector is empty. It shows "activate", but after clicking that, nothing happens. There is no new template created nor selected. It continues to use the default template.

If I point to a different template using typoscript, it also ignores that.

I'm using mm_forum 1.9.2 with Typo3 4.4.6 on a server that is running PHP 5.2.

Thank you for your help.

~Chris

History

Updated by Chris Bischoff about 2 years ago

One more piece of information: I'm using the Web Empowered Church installation of Typo3/mm_forum and I made the mistake of upgrading Typo3 alone to version 4.5.0 and then to 4.5.2. At that point, mm_forum stopped producing output on the frontend. I then downgraded back to Typo3 4.4.6. Frontend output of mm_forum began to work again, but the template issue appeared. I'm not entirely sure that it worked from the time that I installed the WEC Typo3 on my server.

Thanks.

Have you tried copying the template manually?

Copy "typo3conf/ext/mm_forum/res/tmpl/default" into "/fileadmin/ext/mm_forum/tmpl/default"

I had a similar problem when I installed mm_forum on my WAMPP test site, which is running on a Windows system.

Thanks for your reply. I copied the “default” folder into “fileadmin/ext-templates/mm_forum/tmpl/” and then pointed my TS to:

path_template = fileadmin/ext-templates/mm_forum/tmpl/default/
path_altTemplate = fileadmin/ext-templates/mm_forum/tmpl/wec/

mm_forum will not recognize any template now because it is not pointing to the extension directory.

Thanks for your help.

I do not have this problem. Can anybody else reprocuce the bug? I only use the forum administration for changes.
