Dear Mario,
to simplyfi BE and speed up SQL, we can narrow down event types. Rightnow, we have
0: Event with description
1: Shortcut to page
2: Link to external url
3: Meeting
4: Todo
I use never anything else than type 0 and always remove type via page TSConfig.
Maybe we could have a "plugin.tx_cal_controller.view.event.eventTypePidList" with default to "0,1,2,3,4" which I can set to "0" to speed up things and simplyfi debug output...
I dont really know how much microseconds we save, but I like the idea to make cal a simple and minimalistic software (with all the magic power behind many people dont need).
Just an idea...

Hi Martin,
thanks for your thoughts - as for now I have to say, that we don't want to do structural changes. But for TYPO3 5.0 we are going to write cal based on extbase and we will definitly keep this in mind than.
