Description
Von Markus via newsgroup 21-3-2008
I have some trouble to hide a recurring event on a special day:
I have a recurring event (every sunday 11h) and it should not be
displayed e.g. on easter sunday, so I have created an exception event
from 18. March to 24. March and I have selected this exception event in
the recurring event.
But it is still displayed in the calender on 23. March.
Do you have any idea, what's going wrong here?

Confirmed in latest trunk. Setting the exception to only March 23 works fine but the range does not.

After talking to Mario, it appears that fixing this bug will cause a big change in the way exception events are handled and doesn't fit in the 0.17.0 timeframe. If you need a long exception event, the best option is to set it up as a single day exception event and have it recur daily until a specific time.
For 0.17.0, we'll remove the end date so that its more clear that an exception event only works for one day right now.

Set exception end date to be hidden in changeset r2073. This is a temporary workaround until we rework exception handling at a later date.

Defining exceptions works even with "recurrence", also deviations are available -> sugest to cancel.
