I'm looking for a tool that can turn my ical feed into a KML file that can go directly into the Google mapplets. While there are lots of simple TYPO3 extensions to do a single map, it would we very great to be able to plot multiple calendar locations on a single map.

There is a Yahoo pipe that converts ical into kml for this purpose. However, it times out regularly before the map gets generated. I'm thinking a static/cached typo3 kml feed would probably be more reliable than running something through the Yahoo pipe.

If cal already is able to parse ical, then perhaps it is pretty simple to pull out the location information and reformat as KML.
