Description
I just noticed again that the whole concept of adding backendusers to TYPO3 is completely confusing and really hard to understand...

I fully agree.
We could meet and sketch a solution, if you like to.

I have developed a new extbase based extension to replace beusers (Backend User Management).
This new extension can currently been downloaded from https://github.com/7elix/backend_users.
Also I opened a project on forge: http://forge.typo3.org/projects/show/extension-backend_users
Could be collect use cases either in the forge project or here?
I did not create a compare feature yet.
Also I am working on backend user group listing.

Good see some work done here!
Thanks Felix! :)
Do you know tc_beusers* ?
Would be nice as benchmark.
It should be a Forge Project.

Hey Lars, the "new" backend user management has been sucessfully merged into the core and is also included in 6.0-beta1.
It is not just a matter of the interface I guess but also about having to add a group first, group need privileges, mount point must be set, group must be able to read page, … how can this be tackled? Shall there be a default group at least "Editors"?
