Description
Introductory level screencast aimed at front end editors, detailing how to publish a news record.
Screencast will demonstrate how to:
create a category
create a news record
specify a title & subheader
create content (pasting in from M$ Word)
upload two images - specify alt tags and caption
specify a category
make the news record appear on a specific time and date.

Checklist for second draft of screencast.
Intro slides - structure and content agreed, see meeting minutes. Tom to update source video.
Outro - agreed content, Tom to make amendments.

- Amendments to be made to first draft (thank you to Silke and Daniella for the feedback).
- link to external URL should be set with target _blank option to give a good example
- tab Special: talking about author, yet showing author and keywords
- copy content of alttext to titletext
- don't click into "links" and point to browse files icon without saying or doing anything with it
- slow down categories tab
- after saying "I go back to my general tab...", do so
- add Latest AND single plugin to Front End
- speaking already about the sub header while still entering the title... it would be better to wait until the title is finished and then start with the sub header
- better not mention the archive date if usage is not shown in the video or no explanation is given what it is about

- link to external URL should be set with target _blank option to give a good example - DISPUTED, need to speak to team about this. Target attribute us deprecated, personally believe we should be making no reference to it.

Hi Tom,
there is one thing I noticed about the intro slide when watching your new video on Publishing News. I think, two weeks ago, we decided on not saying the target group was Front End Editors but:

Due to the sound issue of the publishingnewsv3.f4v mentioned by Daniela and Silke I just checked the sound levels between intro jingle and Toms voice.
The difference is very little so this is not really a problem. The individual experience of the difference is depending on the difference of music and voice in general. The music part has much more bandwidth of frequencies compared to voices. Specially the voice of a man (Tom) has much more lower frequencies. And these lower frequencies need a little push in leveling the audio track.
This can be done easily in the post production.

I made the new audio at the start of the week and was about to capture the final parts for the screencast including the setting of target _blank for the hyperlink. However the original story has now been deleted so it makes adding that screen very difficult, due the floating box atop of text - so ive just left it out.
- I've removed: don't click into "links" and point to browse files icon without saying or doing anything with it
- im not going to add the part about title text 1, because its barely used 2, the user should focus on adding alt text and not be "confused" with another title.
- Ive added a small piece of audio that exaplins why we add alt text
- I have increased the spoken audio
- I have reduced the audio on the opening jingle
Currently rendering, will FTP and post link to team tonight, Silke - grateful if you can upload video to typo3videos.org
Will await final approval from screencast team.

Sorry, Tom, that's my fault. After you said in last week's meeting you have finished the video, I thought I could start preparing the installation for the admin video and therefore uninstalled tt_news. Should have asked you before... But as soon as you start the recordings for the admin video and import the News Entries folder again, you can use the original story again and add what you wanted.
