This feature request should be addressed to TYPO3 core. But you could try to use extension gridelements for that.
I am not sure if gridelements works with t3temple. Would be nice to get some feedback on this.

i dont think a gridelement would solve this issue, what about a simple text content, you still want to be able to drag and drop it. I'll check to see how it works on templavoilà.

you could use gridelements just for drag'n'drop, without FCE.
However this feature will probably not be fixed by t3temple. It should be addressed to TYPO3 core.
