Description

More than 5000 extensions are available. For users it was very helpful to see the ratings for the extensions in the old typo3.org.
And it was very fast to give the extensions-authors feedback by a form provided to each extensions.

- Which rating should we use? Stars or thumbs up and down? I mean, star rating are always positive. With the thumbs you can vote positive or negative.

- Who can rate and comment? Only logged in users? Or anyone?

- The rating and commenting is linked to a version of an extension, not to an extension itself. Should we change that?

During the relaunch week we already had a discussion about this topic and came to the conclusion that we would like to avoid negative mood and therefore only have a like/thumbs up/+1 voting style.

In theory I would like to have per version votes, but since we do not have enough users I think we should go for per extension votes. Also of course only logged-in users should be able to vote.

The votes and comments (in extension named "experiences") are attached to the version of an extension.

I think we should keep this. Of course we should show all experiences of all versions, but we can show which comment is for which version.
The rating should not divided into versions. Maybe we can make a statistics for later, the DB structure is given.

I talked with Ingo and we think, "stars" would be a nice voting "currency".
What do you think?
