Error during extension upload after about 1 minute

Description

I've just tried to upload a new version of the phpunit extension. The extension T3X is about 2.2 MB, and I'm currently connected via UMTS (via a Vodafone proxy, I suppose) because the WLAN at T3DD12 currently does not work for me.

After clicking the "upload extension" button in the EM and seeing the progress bar moving for about 60 seconds, I get the following error message:

Connection Problem
Sorry, but an error occurred while connecting to the server. Please check your network connection.

I assume that this isn't a problem of my local TYPO3 installation: In my php.ini, I have the following:

max_execution_time = 300
max_input_time = 300

In the TYPO3 install tool, I have set my memory limit to 4 GB.

The version number of my extension has not changed in ext_emconf.php after this.

This problems also happens when I use the MACE network instead of UMTS.

The max_execution_time is set to 300 seconds. Don't know, why this happens so soon.

Could not reproduce neither. Maybe it was just a bad connection?

I think we could close the ticket.

Okay, it looks like this timeout happes on my local machine ... Tolleiv says that this might be an ExtDirect timeout. So is it possible to move this issue to the Core project, and could someone with the necessary permissions do so?
