Description

New design for the introduction package

I talked to Robert from the design team about a fresh design for the IP. He (the design team) will provide a new design.

History

a young talented web designer provides a new design. Just the first hit, please give feedback.

Updated by Ingo Renner 9 months ago

looks great already!

The only issue I currently see is that we need a search box.

Updated by Ben van 't Ende 9 months ago

it is a great approach, but i think it is a bit to static. i would want to see some more passion there. the image (bird and bush) in the current ip gives that feeling to me. the content area is a bit to spacy. we also need another visual i think to replace the phone and tablet. i am not to fond of the rounded navigation items.

Updated by Oliver Hader 9 months ago

Wow! So what are the next steps? What is the current status on that and what do you need to get IP-Mobile running?

And could we please not use that bad "no derivates" license, again?

Updated by Robert Zierhofer 9 months ago

Like it a lot – Thx!!
There are just some minor tweaks I could imagine could fit.
Not a big fan of the super rounded buttons.
For emphasizing the navigation items I would like to see some kind of stroke below each active or hovered item.
Also I would take some focus of the login and lang. switch.
Please see my quick mock up for further explanation.
Looking forward to your update.
Thanks
Robert

As Ingo points out a search-box would be great. All in all the design looks very clean and nice!

In concern of the license: I'm a big fan of MIT License. With HTML5 Boilerplate we recently switched to MIT. Not sure if MIT is something for this project but maybe this is a whole other issue.

I like it. Really enjoying the further development.
Good work, guys!

Hi guys,

i also like this one. Very nice. :) As I´m not a designer, the points mentioned above may be good to realize, or not.
Maybe we can have one or two variations to look at.
Keep up the good work!

Okay guys!
We redesign the Introduction Package, then we should redesign the Login ;) Because of this I design a new login - fresh, modern, simple & like the new Introduction Package.

I hope you like it.

I'd like to see our existing Usability team involved. What about them? Was sb. already in contact with Jens, Lars etc.?

  • Status changed from New to Needs Feedback

Hi,

didn't saw it, or was ask, or was involved.
I will review it and could give some more detailed
feedback later on, if I should. As this is not my
business here and I don't like to disturb Robert Z.
work or Team. :)

Web-Design & Co. = Design Team (RZ World)
Backend UX & Design = UX/UI Team (My World)

As quick Feedback: It look's OK to me.

Colors need some adjustments, as they
have to much contrast in my eyes.
(Back Footer, White BG, 100% Orange Header)
The grid is not 100% consistent.
(eg. Search or the 3 & 2 columns)
But as a first draft, it work quite well.

Concerning the Login-Screen, this will
ONLY fit to the Intro-Pack, but NOT
the actual Backend. So I would not see
this as suitable replacement of the default
Login-Screen. But, maybe as an example
of a customized Login-Screen explicitly
for the Intro-Pack.

Greez Jens

PS: I thought this was Lars "Baby", sad that he was involved.
This would be clear demotivater to me, so I guess for him, too.
