Description

In TYPO3 4.5, Swiftmailer was introduced as new mail API. t3lib_htmlmail was deprecated and removed in 4.7. To maintain compatibility from TYPO3 4.5 upwards to current versions, the Swiftmailer API should be used.

I will provide a patch.

The patch attached solves the task and cleans up the code according to TYPO3 CGL.
