Description

I noticed that editing using Extension-Builder works fine for existing Projects until there have been no customizations within the TCA-File. But editing a customized TCA will completly erase those settings have been made out of Extension-Builder.

Would it be possible to provide some (user interacted?) merging?

You can set the overwrite settings for TCA files to merge.
Read the (f) Manual here and here ;-)

But there is no user interacted merge (which I have no idea how a user interface could look like)
