Besides letters only i think there should be a validation option for letters and whitespaces and minus signs.

For example:
When someone filss in a name field with firstname and lastname ther is a space, but you still don't want other characters to be possible. Except for minus sign, because in the dutch language it is possible people with double lastnames sometimes need it. "firstname lastname-maidenname" is common in the Netherlands.
