Description
Before extbase (B.E.) there was a stored in place to memorize active function and filter settings. Nowadays fluid based views and ActionController selections are not memorized and restored on returning to backend module.

Hey.
A few extbase backend modules honor 'last user selection for 3rd level' meanwhile: for instance be_users extension. It (currently) still has to be implemented on a per-module level, but the code simplifies with recent v12 framework changes (changes to module registration and general user-uc honoring).
As such, I think it would make sense to have single per-module issue as single fresh issues, and close this general ticket for now. I hope that is fine.
