  • Icon Mix in Select Box
  • Icon select Box is not cross browser stable. Bad for documentation

It's not broken. It's native, valid markup. It's just that not all browsers implement it.

If you want it fixed, file bugs with the browser vendors.

If the technical solution doesn't fit the wished end result, it's the wrong approach.

  1. Maybe some browser do support it Natively - so this is a basic fallback solution.
  2. Most browser can't do it well - so we need a different solution for this - or remove it fully.
  3. To me it seems like it needs to be transformed to a HTML version of a select-box
    • Via ExtJS or jQuery or what ever - to be consistent in all Browsers
