Description

In my TYPO3 7.6.2 filelist there is no edit button for files. The first button is disabled. Is that a bug? In past versions (6.2) the image title was set after the file was uploaded. Now, in 7.6.2 the image title is grey and not set and empty. Is that a bug or is there a configuration for it?

File permissions on server are set correctly.

Thanks in advance!

Hello

AFAIK The "disabled" button is the "edit content" button, so it works only for text files like TXT, HTML, etc.
to edit the media record (the metadata) you must click on the icon (see attached screenshot)

As far as I can see in both 6.2.17 and 8.0-dev (latest master) the "title" field is not filled automatically... the filename is taken as the placeholder attribute of the title input field.
Can you test again? Or am I forgetting something?

Hello Riccardo,

thanks for your post. Thought it was just a workaround to use the edit button to the left of filename. So it's not a bug.
Yes, you're right when you say in 6.2 the title field was not filled automatically. The EXIF data (picture metadata) have been filled automatically when you upload a picture. IN EXIF data the title name was always filled. Thus, it is not noticeable to us.

You can close this, it's not a bug!

Thanks!
