Description

Hi,

I think it would be useful to have the possibility to make an "allowedLinkOptions" similar to "blindLinkOptions"[1] so that the Link Wizard can be kept as clean as possible.
This option would mean, that if someone creates new record types and adds them to the Generic Link browser configuration, the special configured will still only have what's allowed for them.

What do you think about the idea?

you mean you'd go with a "white list" instead of the current "blacklist" (blindLinkOptions) approach? Which would be run before the other?

But from reading the documentation again, and my short description.

It sounds like i meant a whitelisting :)

Ha, I thought so!

I guess whitelisting is a bit more difficult, as this would be restricting extension authors to extend this area. but let's see

Hi Tomas,

in the meantime we introduced the allow list with the dedicated TCY type "link", which also replaces the LinkPopup (see #97159).

Therefore, I'll close this issue now. In case you think there is anything missing feel free to create a new issue with reference to this one.

Best, Oli
