Description

Even if i am not at the next skype meeting, i would like to get some suggestions about the future of 45MinutesTypoScript.

  • At now, i would call it Version 0.5, it describes perfectly the actuall situation (i think).
  • I think it would be the best way, to create the version "0.5" in the wiki, and if it is published migrate to snippets.typo3.org.
  • Then i would like to restructure the whole introduction, because i miss the "red line" and perhaps the people really need an walk trough (create website step by step via typoscript).
    • Therefore it would be pretty good, if we define readers and goals before writing :)
    • We should create the structure then, before writing too, i think
    • Then we could write the version 1.0, i think via Workflow and switch the workflow if it is time too (i would really like to get more experience with editor skills and workflow)

so i would like to read you point of view. Hints, suggestions etc...

I like your ideas but as it is mainly still somehow "your" manual I'd like it better to discuss these in a meeting you are attending. So perhaps it would make sense to have a meeting with the TS45 people before you go on holiday.

What do you all think?

If 45MinutesTypoScript Version 0.5 is published, then we should discuss a new roadmap.

A new structure and build up a 45Minutes Team.

for that i should contact Gert Redlich, if he is interested to join the team.

Hi,

this issue became HOT again after some talk about the 45 minutes tutorial - title renaming.

First of all I'd like to mention that in #TYPO3 on IRC the "45 minutes" has been a great document to reference and send other chatters if they have a question. I have been posting 45mins URL's about 4-5 times/day.

I spoke with both Daniel and Martin and here are some topics that are not completely clear yet:

1. Is the tutorial for beginners or advanced TYPO3 users / admins
- Martins intention was actualy for advanced users who do not fully understand typoscript

2. Should we make two versions - the current - and a shortened version which actually can be read / "understood" in 45 minutes?
- understanding typoscript - current document
- understanding typoscript in 45 minutes - shortened version

3. Should we maybe instead of point 2 make a PART1 and PART2 of this tutorial

4. Should we change the title?

if the roadmap is done, we should talk about new title.

at the moment there would be:

full name "45 minutes TypoScript" / ts45min: 2 (Daniel, Martin)
full name "Understanding typoscript": 1 (Martijn)

but that depends on different ideas. So i think at first we should make an roadmap, and then we should talk about a new title.
