Designsets in alternative Template-folder doesn´t work

Description
Using version 1.8.2 or 1.8.1 it´s not possible to change designset or create a own designset (in folder /fileadmin/ext/mm_forum/tmpl/).
If I do that no output will be generated.
If I copy the new designset to EXT:mm_forum/res/tmpl/ I can choose the designset and it works.

Hello, I am using 1.8.1 and it works with the alternative folder. Using T3 V4.2.6.

Hello Basti,
I have tested it with the current trunk version in TYPO3 4.3.1 and I cannot reproduce this error. Are you sure that this might not be a file permission problem or something like that?

Hmm, I can´t see any difference between my designsets in /fileadmin/ext/mm_forum/tmpl/ and the ext-folder. Thats the problem. I am able to open alle the files in /fileadmin/ext/mm_forum/tmpl/mytemplate without any rights problems.
