Meeting TYPO3 Developer Days 2012 - Commerce Team (1 comment)
During the TYPO3 Developer Days 2012 in Munich, Volker Graubaum (e-net), Sebastian Böttger (Typovision) and Ingo Schmitt (MFC) had a short meeting about the next steps in commerce development.
In the next few weeks the team want to work on the open issues in forge and want to release version 1.0 at the beginning of July. This Version will have full 4.5 LTS support and will also be tested on the current stable version. We also aim to have a "starter package" based on the TYPO3 starter package.
After the 1.0 release the next steps would obviously be to enable extbase and fluid for the rendering. This would be a major rewrite based on the current Domain Model for all Page Render Modules. This would be a 2.0 Release. For the long term we could foresee having a complete FLOW3 Commerce Package (as Version 3.0).
Planing for Version 2.0 and 3.0 have not yet started, this includes technical and conceptual work as well as funding. (A rough estimate for Version 2.0 is 30+ project days.)
We all want to continue on the development of TYPO3 commerce but we would also like the community (developers and users) to contribute more to the project.

2nd Commerce Developer Meeting 15/16 November 2008
After the great success of the first developer meeting in Düsseldorf, we agreed to organize the 2nd Meeting again in Düsseldorf at the Weekend 15/16th November 2008. This meeting will be again in the office of the Marketing Factory.
Like in the last workshop we will split up in groups and work on different jobs and tasks for commerce, so everyone could learn from the team and everyone would bring something in into the project. The meeting will start "in official" Friday evening with a dinner and will start official Saturday at 10:00 and will finish Sunday at 17:00.
We will organize some lunch for Saturday and Sunday, so nobody will have to leave the office for this. Although this workshop is free, we would collect a small fee for the lunch on both days.
If you like to join us, please send us a mail to team@typo3-commerce.org. We also could arrange your accommodation for the night, since we do have a special rate to the hotel near by our office.
Move to Forge
Thanks to the TYPO3 core team, all typo3xdev extensions where moved to forge.typo3.org. This gives the extension teams more features for developing and sharing their extensions. The new platform comes with a own bugtracker and a own wiki.
TYPO3 Commerce now uses this platform for the future development, all new issues should be entered in the bugtracker at forge, the SVN was already translated an new commits where made to the new SVN.
Feel free to join the TYPO3 Commerce development team here!
