2 Major Feature are done:
- Explorer View: New view which is a combination between category tree and filelist
- shopping cart: a basic shopping cart is built in.
26 additional features were done too. We are hoping for a lot of positive feedback.
Currently we are doing final tests. Afterwards we will release the new version to the TER
It is a fact: The dam_frontend default style is not very cute. So maybe someone can help us, to improve the default style. Please contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org
The major feature of this version is a new category tree which makes the selection process much easier to a user. Also we have new views:
- Latest view - shows the latest added / changed documentes.
- easy search: a simpler search box
And much more stuff: More TS Support, more versioning options, single step upload.
The last task is now, to complete the documentation. Please provide us feeback or support the further development.
start of development for version 0.5 (4 comments)
The normal plus, minus and equals signs are often to complicated for frontend users. They don't understand how to work with them. Personally i like this way of working, but i'm not the mass. So the guys from sunday afternoon came to me with the idea of a different way to work.
Now we implemented a kind of software selection process (think of features you select whilst an installation). If you check on the parent, all childs are selected. If turn of the check box, all childs are deselected. If only a child is selected / deselected the parent has a "greyed" checkbox. If we have finished, i'm exited for your feedback.
Also we are searching for sponsors to complete the multilanguage support for dam records in the frontend. Currently is only the category tree supported. We hope for your feedback and ideas.
Start of the project is planned for autumn 2009 after the release of TYPO3 4.3 with extBase.
With the next version we want to implement all access features, so that authorizations can be used at file level. There will be also a focus to much better typosript support, that the extension can be customized very easy.
For your convenience you can download the lastest test version In our wiki as a t3x file.
You can finde the download page at http://forge.typo3.org/wiki/extension-dam_frontend/Beta_Version
This is much easier, because then, there is no need for switching between two plattforms. And the second reason was, fortunately there was not much to move :-)
