The official TYPO3 Introduction Package

The purpose of the Introduction Package, is to make the introduction of TYPO3 to new users, a more friendly and helping one.

Features of the Introduction Package

  • Easy point and click installation with customizable color theme
  • A running introduction web site which content demonstrates the features of TYPO3
  • Two example extensions - "RealURL" for speaking URL management, and "News" for news management
  • An intensely documented and well thought out Typoscript setup
  • "Best practices" demonstrations of document structure, Typoscript, etc.
  • New and adjusted documentation 'Getting Started'

The project is aimed at TYPO3 version 4.4 and is one of the main features of this release aiming at a wider adoption of TYPO3.

This project was kick started at the TYPO3 User Experience Week 2009, held 14th - 21st of November in Behringen, Germany by Team 2

Introduction Package main feature for TYPO3 4.4 (1 comment)
The Introduction Package is considered to be one of the main features of TYPO3 4.4 (to be released in June of this year) in the sense that we hope to gain more widespread adoption of TYPO3.
