Introduction Package

The Introduction Package was initially built at the User eXperience Week 2009. The IP is very important for the adoption of TYPO3. It is easy to install and immediately shows features of TYPO3 and best typoscript practices. The team should ideally consist of a mix of developers, integrators and editors

The team is looking for new enthusiastic members willing to spend a few hours every month to keep the package up to date. Please send an email to if you want to participate.

IP Team Restart (First team meeting Mai 15 2012)

  1. Introduce more languages (we have someone to translate into french)
  2. Replace tt_news by extbased news by Georg
  3. Responsive frontend

  4. Put the typoscript external and make it less --- too many options and too many small details about it - seems it's rather confusing for new people right now.
  5. How about using FLUIDTEMPLATE instead of automaketemplate (maybe we'll do this later)
  6. Update the "login news" as it has a date with 2010 on it
  7. Any chance we can get frontend editing (maybe even the extension aloha from Georg) into that package out of the box?
  8. Let's have 1 "Preview workspace" ready and set up for the simple editor. What do you think?

  3. refactoring of the install mechanism to be more flexible for other packages
  4. tackle the multilangual thingy and define translation process
  5. integrate state of the packages into continues integration (at least selenium test)
