Hi Adrian. Thanks for the good question. I think that restricting this membership to natural persons will be an option to secure us from the sketched risk. - Olivier

What about huge companies that theoretically could influence their employees to push votes in certain directions? What about me being a funny guy with a huge family and the will to spend 60€ to get a decent amount of votes from people who don't even know TYPO3?

As with all organizations, we cannot do something against this systematically. It's already possible today. I do not go into details here, but it is already possible at such a low price what basically any individual could afford.

Still, the T3A is not obliged to accept all new member applications. This is an instrument we did not use at all so far.

I have some additional "prevention ideas" that we could have a look at later...

To the Board & EAB

„which is priced at 1 EUR“ - 1€ per year? Is a registration fee planed?

„From a financial point of view, there is no advantage.“ The rare administrative expenses for each member will be higher than 1€, is a budget planned to refinance this membership model?

„By doing so, we will include as many people as possible.“ Are there any goals set, like double/triple the amount of members in a certain time range? Or is the idea to only strengten the democratic basis?

General question to the readers

„we have to be aware that a larger part of the Bronze Members will degrade to Wood“. What do other freelancers think about this?

Follow up question to the board:

„voting rights“. Most votings are done electronically already (like elections or budgets). What about the general assembly (my question tends toward the area of tension between voting by mail and personal attendance).
