Description

This bug was introduced with TYPO3 v13.4.10 and this fix for Firefox https://review.typo3.org/c/Packages/TYPO3.CMS/+/89255

(most likely also with TYPO3 v12.4.29)

Now when switching between Aspect ratios, it creates a new focusarea on the image editor instead of changing it / replacing it.
The more you change between the Aspect ratios the more focus areas you get.

reproducable in both Chrome and Firefox.
