yes, you cannot remove a coupon from basket. Image you have a real paper coupon: if you give it to a seller, he will rip of a corner of that paper. So you have to use the coupon.
That´s the thought I had with Commerce Coupons.
So, I´ll have to have a look at it.

You did get me wrong, I don't want to remove coupons from the basket. I want the basket sum reduced by the coupon's amount or percentage (that's the initial idea of Commerce Coupons, right?).
But this only works when there are items with a quantity > 1 each in the basket. It seems strange, but that's the case on my test installation.
