What is the status of this service?
How can we integrate it seamlessly within our t3-webistes ecosystem?
Once stabilized, we should promote this service towards the community.
Peter Kraume and Benni Mack have been in contact to improve the design, as Benni offered to let his designer make sume suggestions.
Will ask them again.
Could this service be put / explained on typo3.org. I mean: by hitting "http://get.typo3.org/" without further parameters would land (read: redirect) somewhere under http://typo3.org/download/ where we would have the current text from get.typo3.org displayed.
Doing so, would solve the design and the maintenance problem.
What do you think?
- Status changed from New to Needs Feedback
Yes, we have the same idea for demo.typo3.org (with the redirect to typo3.org) - would be possible.
But I would wait for an answer from Benni/Peter first.
Any news here? Or shall I versionned the already existing code, considering the latest state is the one of the server?
Memo: get.typo3.org is hosted on srv105.typo3.org
Peter Kraume answered me ~2 weeks ago that he plans "to have a look again the next days".. Well.. if you want to take over, I'm fine with it.
Could you forward me his last email, so that I can re-activate him one more time before taking over his work.
For now, I have updated the content from typo3.org and include it as iframe so that it looks well integrated: http://get.typo3.org/
- Assignee set to Fabien Udriot
- Project changed from Server Team (private) to Server Team
So shouldn't this service be announced and mentioned somewhere on typo3.org?
- Status changed from Needs Feedback to Resolved
Could be announced in our half-year report #37970
Closing the ticket which is kind of duplicate with #30158
- Status changed from Resolved to Closed
