Description

Since TYPO3 4.7 the backend search (at the bottom in the main frame) doesn't find any results from extension records.

You can test this using the TYPO3 Demo Introduction Package at http://demo.typo3.org/. Go to Web > List, select the News entries site and enter a search term that is part of a news title.

In TYPO3 4.6 and below there was a result, in 4.7 there isn't.

Obviously it seems to work for TYPO3 core records like tt_content or pages. But for records of extensions it doesn't seem to work.

I just found out that this is no bug but just the same behaviour as with the live search (at the right upper corner), so searchFields for each extension need to be defined.

This can be closed.
