January 23rd, protocol:
Thomas is ready to implement 4 kinds of buttons with the coming typo3.org sprint.
But the focus is on the TER so it’s not 100% sure that it gets done within the next sprint.

August, 7th protocol:
Kian had a call with someone from flattr.
We have the impression, that it's not interesting.
We decided to put paypal-buttons inside the TER detail views.

Next step: Ben will create the forge ticket.

November 21st, protocol:

We want to integrate a paypal and amazon wishlist feature within the next typo3.org sprint.
Paypal has the advantage that everyone can decide how much he/she wants to donate. Added to the typo3.org sprint page: http://goo.gl/eJ613

Thoughts on Flattr with Gimp: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list/2012-October/msg00072.html. Interesting to read.

I would suggest to simply let each extension author choose on his/her own. having options of flattr, paypal, amazon wish list. In the end those are meant to be donations to the extension authors and they should be able to choose it.

Another nice touch would be an option of a charity donation (be it to the T3A or organizations like the red cross).

also, I think there's a similar issue in the t3o project and I think that's the better place, too.

Asked Thomas for comments. Maybe the issue should be in t3o, but currently there is not to much activity there.

There is no issue in the t3o project for a paypal button, but for a flattr button.
I +1 Ingo that every ext author can choose which kind of donation he want to offer.

We can move this issue to the t3o project but rename it to add a possibility to choose the donation type.

- flattr (under review)
- paypal (open)
- amazon wishlist (open)
- charity donation (open) (is there an online offerer for this kind of donations?)

BTW, why is flattr not interesting?

I had really great feedback of putting flattr into TER frontend. There was no call for paypal. :)
