On http://www.ursbraem.ch/t3/index.php?id=164, our dynamic fields are wrapped in dt tags.
The fields from the template have different wraps in div.type-text.
dt doesn't even show up in the pretemplate, only in ext_tables_static+adt.sql
Can the wraps from the template be applied to dynamic fields?
And what does ext_tables_static+adt.sql do?

Ah, I understand.
As an integrator, I would expect these wraps per fieldtype to be pulled from the pretemplate, so it's easier to set up and there's no redundancy. Maybe we can do that in a later step.
Also, what happens if you have various types of forms in a TYPO3 installation that require different wraps per fieldtype?

The field types have to stay in the DB. But, if necessary on complex typo3-installations with different forms, it would be possible to add a master field type to the field types, which refers to the master field in the template.
I think this storage solution will add new problems, like what happens, if a pretemplate master field file doesn't cover the field type chosen?
An easier way to deal with different field wrap types in the same installation would be to add different field types to the db, for instance duplicating the input field to input for form A and input for form B.
Is this fair and simple enough?

I don't understand what you mean
for instance duplicating the input field to input for form A and input for form B.
hmmmmm this is quite a hacky workaround, I think... best you explain to me why they need to stay in the DB (and why not in TS for example) and also what you mean by your example above
The idea of formhandler being that you can move around your templates among sites, I find it a pity if you have to enter markup into some DB config. Sorry I haven't spotted that earlier!
