Problem/Description¶

I find it really annoying that the default page module submodule is "QuickEdit". Especially when I show TYPO3 newcomers how content elements can be entered in the TYPO3 backend.

• Are there any appreciable reasons why "QuickEdit" is the default for the page module?

ToDo¶

• Change default to "Columns" instead of "QuickEdit" as a first step

Longer-term ToDo¶

• Move QuickEdit outside of the core, will be moved to a new ticket, if this one get's merged into the core
