[BUGFIX] Fix PHP 5.3 support
This reverts the use of the ``class`` keyword which is only
available in PHP version 5.5+.
Background:
This is a follow-up to the "[BUGFIX] Fix site locking" change
(Ib701d67b3c7ed81a09e340583ffd2ee768857b83) that introduced this
regression.
