As already announced via a great buzz-article by Ernesto, the release team discussed the issue of backporting to TYPO3 4.5 LTS and decided/agreed on a strategy how to solve an work on this.

TYPO3 4.7

Our current Focus until Alpha 2 is set on ExtJS 4 Migration for the TYPO3 Backend. The basic transformation has been pushed to the review server, and this morning got merged.

There are two outstanding patch which have to be merged, to have an working backend again... This will hopefully happen during today. Then you are up to bug-hunting and reporting.
We have some known issues but a team will be working on this until Alpha2.
Anyhow it can not be garuantied that all ExtJS based features will be up again until Alpha2 - this especially concerns the ExtensionManager, Recycler and Workspaces Modules which seem to need a complete Rewrite.
The Rewrite of Workspaces will be tackled by the Workspaces Team on an codesprint in first week of January, which also means that WS-Module and WS Preview are not available again until Alpha3.

Benni did a short report of the current state of FAL and will be working on a strategy for integration as well as collecting open issues.
He also will organize - with Ingmar - all further actions around the FAL integration.

We shortly talked about the init.php refactoring which has been done by Oliver Hader during the BLE-Project to support the Console-App. We talked about how this could be merged with the WebService Router Thomas Maroschik worked on as well as how forces could be joined with the FLOW3 team to benefit of the security layer within their routing.
Olly will contact Thomas about this and set up an additional Skype meeting on this topic.
