On TYPO3 V12.4.5 we have some problems that the target attribute only works sporadically. (tested on Firefox)
Usually first time you select a target it does not work.
When you edit the link again, then sometimes the selected value is added to the tag. But sometimes not.
In the screen record example, this is the case, where in the first link it works when editing again. But for the next link, it doesn't even work when editing.
