Hi all,
i found a linux command line tool to create correct png8 images with alpha channels out of an png32 image.
the name of the tool is "pngnq". i asked myself now: "is there a way to integrate this tool in gifbuilder?".

you will get responses more quickly, if you ask in the dev-mailing list at http://lists.typo3.org.

If you already have a plan of how to do it, maybe you could even provide a patch.

Hi Carsten,

as pointed out, this seems not to be a bug, so I'm going to close this.
You could extend the functionality using an XCLASS or maybe use a hook, if there is one, to postprocess the generated image.
