Until TYPO3 6.1, it was possible for a hook during upload to send notification as flash messages:
Now it does not work anymore, flash messages are not shown.
Either show flash messages after upload or provide a way for the hook to send some notification.
Typically used by EXT:image_autoresize to inform the user that an image has been resized to WxH pixels and possibly even converted from one format to another.
