Make site reachable under www.xyz.com and not www.xyz.com/start

Description
Hi All,
I have a problem,
My page tree looks like this:
->Home (id-54) (root page + shortcut page to 104)
->start(id 104)
When I submit my url (www.xyz.com) it gets redirect to www.xyz.com/start
When I copy the contents from pid 104 to 54 and make 104 as shortcut page to 54,my site gets certain design issue.It's getting impractical for me to copy the contents.
Is there any possible way to make site reachable under www.xyz.com and not www.xyz.com/start.
I will be so thankful for suggesting any idea.
My typo3 version 6.2.13.

Dear Abin Sabu,
that was a very bold move simply adding watchers to this tickets to get attention. You even added Andreas Otto, who died some years ago.
I don't know you but even without any kind of bias my first impression of you is that of a selfish guy, who only cares about his very own needs.
This is a bug tracker and what you describe is not a bug, it's a desire for help. Everybody struggles with TYPO3 from time to time but this is the wrong way and attitude to get any kind of quick help.
Please join the slack chat for TYPO3 [[https://forger.typo3.org/slack]] or use the TYPO3 forum aka the mailing lists [[https://forum.typo3.org/]].
And please refrain from creating new tickets and assigning arbitrary people. It's really not polite and you will most likely provoke the opposite of what you really want.
