Description

The forms extension needs a major rewrite. The new extension has to meet the following requirements.

General requirements

  • combining concepts of the major 3rd party extensions like powermail, formhandler
  • modern architecture (Extbase, Fluid, jQuery)

For editors

  • user friendly
  • powerful form wizard
  • built in reports module

For integrators

  • easy to style, enhance, and extend
  • integrated spam protection

For developers

  • data manipulation at any point
  • stable and sustainable

The extension will be available for TYPO3 7 and higher. Against the initial plan it will not work for 6.2.

During the developer days 2015 we've discussed the next steps and decided to concentrate on improving EXT:forms instead of reinventing a complete new form extension.
