Extension uploads are not possible: Extension contains no files.

Updated almost 11 years ago.
Description
I just wanted to upload the extension div2007 and get this output in the EM:
Extension: Static Methods for Extensions since 2007 (div2007)
Upload extension to repository
TX_TER_ERROR_GENERAL_EXTENSIONCONTAINSNOFILES: Extension contains no files.
PHP 5.2.11

Could you check if you are using the native php soap extension or nuSoap. For me nuSoap was the problem, as soon as I used php-soap everything was fine.
Only this module has been installed:
php-pear-SOAP-0.12.0-2mdv2009.1
Now I have added php-soap-5.2.11-0.6mdv2009.1.
This made the upload possible. Why did it produce such a missleading error message before? It should have told me that the php-soap PHP module had been missing.

div2007;
- Please note that it might take a while (up to one day) until your extension and the documentation appear on TYPO3.org.
- The extension is now available in version 0.3.1.
- The file "ext_emconf.php" was updated with a cleaned up EM_CONF array.
I can confirm this problem. it also excists on TYPO4.3
And I can also confrom of installing php-pear-SOAP-0.12.0-2mdv2009.1
did help the problem. A better error message would be cool though.
can confirm that on mowes portable with no pear stuff installed ... tested typo3 version 4.4. RC1
If no SOAP API is present error message should be more self explaining. Here is the patch.
By the way, problem with nuSoap really exists. I will try to fix it soon.

The issue is very old, does this issue exists in newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 4.7)?
Close this issue. The extension upload is not part of TYPO3 6.0 any more. And the LINUX modules for SOAP are newer now.
- Status changed from Needs Feedback to Closed
Thats why I asked for 4.5/4.7 only ;-)
