Description

Currently the pagetree with IE9 RC is not usable. When I try to select an entry, then nothing happens (no selection possible).

This is only a problem in the ie9 document mode; if I change the document mode to ie8, then the pagetree is usable

Install IE9 RC and change the document mode (F12) to ie9 standards

IE9 RC is currently a prerelease, so changes might be possible!
For most websites, IE9 RC seems to work very well...

Let's wait until the final release and recheck this issue.

I can confirm that the problem still exists in IE 9 final
And when I'm using IE8 document mode, I'm only able to see the first tree node in the page tree - whereas the whole tree is shown when using IE9 document mode.

I can reproduce that on master, not on 4.5. Only the first DB mount is visible in IE9.

Stefan, could you please check this?

Can't reproduce in master with IE9 (9.0.8112.16421). All DB mounts work fine.

One note: TYPO3 sets the compatibility mode to IE8 (because of a number of unsolved JS/CSS issues). Overriding this to document mode IE9 can cause all kinds of weird effects.

I could not reproduce the problem that nothing is selectable IIRC.

Now that compatibility mode is set to IE9 I still can't reproduce the issue. Can anyone reproduce this problem??

I think that in TYPO3 4.5, the problem is due to ExtJS 3.3 which does not fully support IE9.

Hi,

as this issue is very old. Does the problem still exists within newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (6.2.9)?

I have windows 7 (64 Bit) with acutal I.E. 10 (64-bit) :

in TYPO3 CMS 4.5.35 with default Documentmode I.E: 10: Open or close a Site Tree node still does not work
(I still need to switch to Emulation of Documentmode to I.E. 8, then it works)

in TYPO3 CMS 6.2.9 the problem does NOT exist ..

greetings
jörg

  • Status changed from Needs Feedback to Closed

As TYPO3 CMS 4.5 is in maintenance only mode, only important and security related issues will be fixed and so I'll close this issue.
