Description

Several BE modules now use Extbase and Fluid. However about half of the modules define their own BE container, because the default one lacks this or that feature. I propose to improved the default (Fluid) BE container to provide the most obviously missing features. After making an inventory, this seems to be:

  • including more than one CSS file
  • including more than one JS file
  • loading inline language labels
  • loading jQuery

The only very specific thing which I found and would not generalize is the list of triggers used by the Extension Manager. This could probably moved to a specialized view helper.

The one thing which requires additional thinking IMO is related to jQuery loading. Are there other jQuery-related libraries which would be commonly used (in the future) and which we could already include as simple flags? jQuery UI, for example? OTOH this is not critical, as loading many JS libraries will not be an issue anymore with the proposed changes.
