What did you install? (No don't say "TYPO3".) Where did you get it from? With an Installer? Any errors? Did it work yesterday?

What do you rightclick? What do you expect to happen?

Seeing your screenshot, the webserver is already running and you also managed to run the Install Tool...

I don't understand, where there is a problem.

I installed "TYPO3Winstaller_4.4.0" - download from Typo3.org.
After installation an icon appaers on the Desktop, called: TYPO3 4.4.0

When clicking on it, a small window opens to start Mysql and .. and Typo.

Starting the computer next day again, the quickstart Typo function does not work any more. The Icon is dead! No more Typo3.
This happens on my Laptop with vista ultimate and as well on my stationary computer with vista business.
After restarting the computer, typo3 does not start any more.

What to do? To abort Vista and use ubuntu; but I am not a computer specialist to get this running!!!

Any help would be appreciated!

Your Install Tool is located at .../typo3/install/index.php.

Try typing .../typo3 in your browser window instead.
This should present you the TYPO3 Backend login, where you can login using your username and password.

Does the Login screen appear?

I tried to open index.php from 3 locations. Dummy, Quickstart and testsite. All dead ends. Just words and cryptic signs on the screen. No backend!!
My first attempt to work with typo turns rather to be a nightmare.
I was quite happy about an win installer, but - no function at all!

Maybe there is a way to skip that. How to get typo3 - after an installtion with wininstaller - on my webspace???

Is there somewhere a understandble method for typo3 under Ubuntu. I faild there as well!
Skip Typo or is there still hope?

TYPO3 WInstaller comes with one exe file which should start Apache, MySQL and finally show TYPO3.

After speaking to Ralf the problem already is that this exe does not do anything anymore. It already does not start Apache any longer.
The strange thing is that it worked the day before. Also using the TYPO3 Backend worked correctly.

Andreas Eberhard will have a look at this.

Closed, no error in TYPO3.

This is a problem in the WinInstaller, not in TYPO3.
