FAL - Umlaut in fileadmin or Filename -> no image Manipulation

Hi,
could be a duplicate of another issue. I´m not quite sure.
If a Folder in Fileadmin has an Umlaut Like "Büro" no Thumbs are genereated in that path nor are the images manipulatet in frontend, while they are in originalsize shown in FE output.

I must admin that there was a general problem with these 2 pictures. I had to store them locally and resave them with image software. After that, they worked. So this could be more the issue.
Sorry for the report, but it might help someone who runs into the same problem. -> can be closed

Can not be closed.
As there are no thumbs generated if a filename has an Umlaut. A quick and dirty solution would be a warning in in FAL Backend if such a file is found in a folder poking the user to rename it.

1. Go to the Install Tool
2. Search the Setting [systemLocale]
3. Set [systemLocale] to de_DE.utf-8
Files (Images) with Umlauts should now be shown correctly.

Could it be that setting systemLocale won't work on PHP 5.3?
I'm running PHP 5.3.23 and it doesn't have the desired effect

Thumbnail get rendered in current trunk for a file with name cÖute-cat-picture-wallpaper.jpg so should work with Büro too.
