"Pencil" in page module displayed when page is "Show page" only configured

Description
Wehn I configure a page as "Show page" only:
An editor has a "pencil" in the page module for this page:
Clicking on it, gives an error.
Better would be to not show the "pencil" at all, like in the context menu.
I experienced this in v13.4.0.

I can't reproduce that on main or 13.4, see screenshots
can you please recheck, ideally on an clean empty installation?

@Georg Ringer The "pencil" (edit) and "eye" (view) icons are still present if you switch the page module to "Language Comparison" mode - even with your configuration (group: editors; permission: only read)
Plus, the "Create new translation" dropdown is still operative and leads to a crash

I am still seeing the pencil when only show permission of a page is given (TYPO3 v13.4.8), clicking on it I am getting the following error (language comparison view):

We can reproduce this bug in language comparison view. We used the core dev project to test it so there shouldn't be any of our own code.
