Description

when logged in as BE user, not admin, i can't
edit any pages, even though i should have access according to User Admin, as documented in http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/doc_tut_quickstart/Setting_up_user_perm/

the error i get is:
Sorry, you didn't have proper permissions to perform this change.

Reason: ERROR: authMode "explicitDeny" failed for field "CType" with value "text" evaluated

i did of course make user member of a group that too has access, just all green crossess in User Admin
(issue imported from #M676)

This is probably not a bug. The doc you mentioned is a bit outdated. Please look into your BE group configuration, make sure you have "Include Access Lists:" checked and look into the explicit deny /allow fields. If the content type Text is not allow (or is denied) then this is not a bug.
