In the original RTE mailto's and URL's becomes links, just while typing.
This should be the same for HTMLArea ;)
The orignal RTE rutine, requires the user to input a space after the email or URL for the link to become available (other tweaks can be done, like clicking with the mouse and such). Often this is not done, in normal texting, so the HTMLArea should do this more elegantly ;)
